What you should know about the upcoming NBA 2K17 All-Star Tournament

2K has announced its newest eSports event for NBA 2K17. After the great success of NBA 2K16 Route to the Finals, 2K may host their second NBA 2K competing gaming tournament, NBA 2K17 All-Star Event. Players on PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system and Xbox One, the all-in-one games and entertainment system from Microsoft, will be able to form their own NBA 2K Pro-Am teams to compete in a series of in-game events to qualify for the tournament to win $250,000.

The new champion will be crowned during NBA All-Star 2017 in New Orleans. “The NBA 2K development team is thrilled to grow the impact that was brand's within eSports with the All Star Tournament's changing world,” stated president of Visual Concepts, Greg Thomas. Release date:
The NBA 2K17 All-Star Tournament will begin on December 31 and end at the NBA All-Star Game in New Orleans in February.

Requirements:
Open to legal residents of 50 U.S., D.C. & Canada (excluding AZ, CT, MD, ND & Quebec), 13+. Teams must have Elite or better status and must compete on Xbox One or PS4 platforms. Void where prohibited. The tournament can emphasize five qualifying series that'll establish who will go forward the competition. Teams will need to have at the least Elite level players or above, could play in virtually any of the models, claims, Forbes. Participants should put in place An Expert-Am team with a minimum of two additional participants to be eligible for the event. Schedule:
The match schedule starting on range from the Qualifying Round 1 on Wednesday, Dec. 31, 9 - 6 p.m. Pacific Period. The Qualifying Round 2 on Thursday, Jan. 7, 9 - 6 p.m. Pacific Period. Next timetable for Qualifying Round 3 is on Sunday, Jan. 14, 9 a.m. - 6 p.m. Pacific Tine, the Qualifying Round 4 again on Wednesday, Jan. 21, 9 a.m. - 6 p.m. Pacific Time. The three teams with the highest score on each console on each of the five qualifying days will advance to the tournament.

Prize:
On February 4th (Rounds 1 and 2) and February 11th (Console Semifinals and Finals), the 16 qualifying teams on both the PlayStation®4 and Xbox One will go head-to-head in a single elimination tournament. The console winners will then face off for the $250,000 championship during NBA All-Star 2017 in February, with the champions receiving tickets to the 2017 NBA All-Star Game at Smoothie King Center in New Orleans.
