Animal Crossing: New Horizons Update Nerfs Its Much-Hated Bunny Day Eggs

Animal Crossing: New Horizons players frustrated by the recent Bunny Day event have been granted a slight reprieve in the form of a new update. The Nintendo Switch exclusive received a small patch early Monday morning and according to the notes, the update will lower the appearance rate of eggs in the game.

While Bunny Day is built around the concept of collecting eggs to complete recipes, many Animal Crossing: New Horizons felt the event put too much emphasis on eggs. As players tried to catch new fish that appeared for April, they found that more often than not an egg would take its place. On top of that, eggs can spawn on money trees in place of “money bags,” which can grant the all-important bells.

Nintendo recently released update 1.14, a Bunny Day-focused affair that appears to respond to some of people’s concerns. The patch notes list a few adjustments, the most important of which is that frequency of eggs has been adjusted until April 11, and then they’ll become much more common on April 12, which is Bunny Day itself. Also Easter. In addition, our site 5mmo.com has a large quantity of safe Animal Crossing New Horizons Nook Miles Tickets For Sale.

The two most problematic sources of eggs are stones and fishing: hitting rocks yields valuable and limited resources, and replacing some of those with eggs for half a month is just a pain. But it’s the sea egg that really becomes a headache: at least half of the fish out there in the water turned into eggs with the start of Bunny Day, and that’s just an exhausting nerf to the game’s most profitable and relaxing activity, particularly since it came right along with the arrival of new April fish.

To Nintendo's credit, the company has been quick to respond to issues with Animal Crossing: New Horizons a lot faster than most would expect. From the balloon spawn bug to this overabundance of eggs, Nintendo has been addressing concerns within a few days. But most importantly, now those that want to enjoy Bunny Day in Animal Crossing: New Horizons can do so, even if they have to look a little harder for eggs. While the more hardcore don't have to watch as their villager catches 10 eggs in a row.
